Inviting Tenants

Adding a Tenant

Navigate to a unit's detail page and click Add Tenant. Enter the tenant's first name, last name, and email address. The email address is how tenants will log in to their portal.

Creating a Lease

After adding a tenant, you can create a lease that links the tenant to the unit. A lease requires:

  • Start Date — When the lease begins.
  • End Date — When the lease expires.
  • Monthly Rent — The recurring rent amount that will be charged each month.
  • Security Deposit — The deposit amount held for the duration of the lease.

Sending the Invite Email

Once the lease is created, LodgeX PMS sends an invite email to the tenant. The email contains a link to the tenant portal where they can:

  • View their current balance and payment history
  • Make payments via ACH bank transfer
  • Submit maintenance requests
  • Download lease documents

Tips

  • Double-check the tenant's email address before sending the invite. You can resend the invite from the tenant's profile if needed.
  • Tenants do not need to create a separate password — they authenticate through a secure link sent to their email.
